Transformación continua, crecimiento a escala

“Hay muchas herramientas y teorías, pero lo importante es enfocarse en los principios y valores de esta filosofía de trabajo para poder escoger la metodología que mejor encaje con cada uno”, esa es la conclusión más importante para Marisol Menéndez, especialista en organización de proyectos complejos.

Un soldado del Ejército Imperial Japonés fue destinado en 1944 a la isla de Lubang para luchar en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. El emperador Hirohito le ordenó a Hiroo Onoda luchar y no desistir. Tras la orden, el soldado siguió luchando hasta 30 años después de la rendición de Japón en 1945.

La Guerra de Corea, la carrera de los Beatles, los asesinatos de John F. Kennedy y Martin Luther King, las Olimpiadas de Tokio en 1964, la construcción del Muro de Berlín y el aterrizaje en la Luna son sólo algunos de los acontecimientos que tuvieron lugar mientras Hiroo Onoda luchaba en la selva de Lubang.

En un mundo digital en permanente evolución, los mercados y las empresas están cambiando y ahora más que nunca nos enfrentamos a la necesidad de realizar cambios en nuestros modelos de trabajo para mejorar el flujo de conocimiento, ser más ágiles y acelerar la transformación de nuestras organizaciones.

En Trescom no nos queremos quedar atrás y buscamos siempre una mayor adaptabilidad, agilidad y eficacia en el desarrollo de proyectos, por eso hemos realizado una sesión ‘agile’ liderada por “la chica post-it’, Marisol Menéndez, actual Chief Open Innovation Officer en Spain Startup – South Summit y una experta en la organización de equipos con esta metodología.

 

El modelo ‘agile’, más allá de una metodología

El modelo ‘agile’ nace del Manifiesto Ágil, un documento publicado en 2001 por 17 expertos en programación, que establece 12 principios y 4 valores. Pero, este modelo no es una simple metodología sino una filosofía de trabajo en la que se planifica, crea, evalúa y reitera. ¿El objetivo? Alejarse de los modelos de trabajo verticalizados y fragmentados, como el modelo Waterfall creado por Winston W. Royce, que aún imperan en muchas organizaciones y que, de algún modo, limitan la creatividad, el flujo de conocimiento y la gestión adecuada de las personas.

Desde su creación, el modelo ‘agile’ ha sido instaurado en muchas organizaciones a nivel global y bajo distintas metodologías como Scrum, Kanban o XP han aparecido en el panorama de esta filosofía para facilitar la organización de proyectos y recursos. Scrum es una de las más conocidas, según indica Scrum Alliance.

 

Aprendizajes

A través de la ‘ceremonia Scrum’ liderada por Marisol, hemos extraído tres aprendizajes clave del modelo ágil:

  1. Integración de un modelo adecuado: no existe un modelo único aplicable a todas las empresas, el más adecuado es aquel por el que decidamos apostar, en función de las personas que forman parte del equipo profesional y de la cultura de cada organización.
  2. Aceptar que el modelo ‘agile’ es un proceso de transformación y aprendizaje continuo con plazos de entrega reducidos y un espíritu de mejora y evolución, que finalmente dotará nuestra organización de mayor madurez cultural y organizativa.
  3. Transversalidad y autogestión: una transformación ágil requiere de un cambio cultural que rompa con la fragmentación de los modelos tradicionales de trabajo para crear equipos capaces de organizarse por sí mismos para generar mayor valor y flujo de comunicación, conocimiento y colaboración.

En definitiva, la combinación de estas claves nos permitirá trabajar con mayor rapidez y adaptarnos a un mercado cada vez más complejo. ¿Te atreves?
