El paraperiodismo digital
Una nueva forma de generar discursos masivos, al margen de los medios de comunicación tradicionales y que tiene como soporte las redes sociales e internet.

Que las redes sociales e internet han supuesto una revolución en las formas tradicionales de comunicación es algo ampliamente conocido y debatido en el sector periodístico en los últimos años. Ahora bien, ¿qué es eso del paraperiodismo digital? Podemos decir que se trata de una nueva forma de generar discursos masivos, al margen de los medios de comunicación tradicionales y que tiene como soporte las redes sociales e internet.
Si paramilitar es aquella persona afiliada a una organización civil dotada de estructura o disciplina militar, los paraperiodistas son comunicadores afiliados a medios masivos que arrojan bombas informativas siguiendo con disciplina militar los objetivos de sus empresas.
La inmediatez que demanda el universo digital y la casi ausencia de filtros entre el usuario informador y sus seguidores o visitantes han ampliado la libertad de expresión hasta límites difusos y han favorecido el desarrollo del paraperiodismo digital. Esta apertura informativa ha dado lugar a que cualquiera con intereses económicos o mediáticos elabore discursos basados en información falseada, como ocurre en Estados Unidos, donde National Report, Biz Standard News o Empire News son sólo algunos ejemplos de webs disfrazadas de medios de comunicación, que generan ingresos publicitarios a costa del tráfico de sus noticias falsas.
En la campaña de las últimas elecciones presidenciales de Estados Unidos se puso en marcha toda una campaña de noticias extravagantes basadas en información falseada para seducir a los usuarios con titulares llamativos. Así, hemos podido leer en internet noticias inexistentes como “Aparece muerto en su apartamento el agente del FBI sospechoso de la filtración de los correos electrónicos de Hillary en lo que parece un asesinato y suicidio”, “se ha filtrado un correo electrónico de Clinton sobre ISIS y es peor de lo que todo el mundo imaginaba” o “Denzel Washington apoya a Trump de la manera más épica posible”.
Ahora mismo cualquiera es capaz de generar una pieza informativa gracias a internet, que es un arma de doble filo a nivel informativo. Respecto al otro lado ¿cómo podemos informarnos de forma veraz? Hay que saber separar el ruido de la información relevante y esto siempre va a depender de la exhaustividad del receptor a la hora de contrastar y analizar las fuentes de información.
